And, you undoubtedly did the right thing by contributing to NPR during their last pledge break, right? Because this news has enriched your life etc., in fact may I suggest setting up a "Johannes Pilch Challenge grant"! That is where, when someone makes a pledge in a designated time period.... you match the amount! All tax deductible, of course.

Of course if the mkts havent been too good to you theres always the option of working the phones. Just one of those "thousand points of light" in the Bush tradition.

(Terry something? I simply cannot remember)

That would be Kary Mullis. Polymerase Chain Reaction, certainly a scientist in a relevant field, but gone on to other things, sort of another astral plane even. Doesn't seem like the kind of scientist you might normally take seriously, Johannes. Check out amazon.com . I promise, I typed in that "astral plane" thing before looking at that page.

More relevantly, you might also like to check on amazon.com . The Amazon reviews on this one are all favorable, but Amazon also managed to make the NYT review of Bork's "Gomorrah" book sound favorable, along with all the other reviews they showed. Amazon is into selling books.
