Paul,

To understand execution approaches I suggest you read back through this thread as well as some of the threads under Short Term Trading such as Trading For a Living. Learning to use the different routes is very central to trading well. It is also an extensive subject.

The inside bid/offer is only the starting point of how you would decide on an entry price for a trade. The other criteria are very extensive and, again, I would suggest you do lots of research. There are dozens of great books out there. Check out amazon.com and go through their section on stock trading. Many books have been recommended on this and other threads.

Since your experience is limited I urge you to spend at least the first four weeks of your MBT experience doing paper trades only. Let us know how you do with paper trades and we will help you along.

Rick
