It's not the data it's upgrading to the latest build.

It's also the data, actually. The data has to be uploaded each night. I have a request in to make the data easy to XFer from other sources so it can be imported from BMI for example. I see where a build available this coming weekend addresses that, but for a zillion other feeds EXCEPT Bonneville.

Figures.

The issue, mainly, is that the Gateway was purchased without a modem because this machine has a ethernet card for a cable modem. But it's a Mac and the NN is WIN95 so I have to get upgrades and data on another machine (which uses a modem). I only have two IBM Clones so no network was ever installed. The program is too large to download to a disk. And the GTW will not use an external modem.

I think I had less trouble with computers when I was using Hollerith Cards in college. It appears that the main stumbling block for me is not building the models it's getting everything lined up to start building them. Even late last night I tried out some models on the older build but the data from Reuters was corrupted, evidently.

My wife likes to remind me, I am not a king and these are not medieval times.
