Dear Thomas: That fiasco was undoubtedly due to some suck up Admiral telling the powers that be that he could get it done - that is run a ship with less men as part of the Clintonista deballing of the military. I flew for a lot of jerks like that in VietNam. The can do boys who tell their bosses we can win the war with half measures. This is a great micro of what is going on throughout the military under this administration. The absurdity of running a ship under NT is a credit onyl to the MSFT salesman that convinced the Navy it was worth the try. Maybe they should use the system that crashed the NYSE yesterday. JFD
