Greg,

Don't forget, MO was throwing out a very nice dividend all along the way. ;-)

Hi Greg!! Yes, isn't that great you can run back-test now. I reported on this feature on message (5970) but it is nice that you also are using it and can go back and check back the power of AIM. I ran a few test back to a year and they beat buy and hold hands down. I will be checking and using often and it is very quick and easy to do with a spreadsheet. I just wish Newport had this back testing feature. However Bill McKinley in his stocksystem.com has a nice spreadsheet called PCA that can be used for this testing in the meantime. Again thanks for your example..

Jim

Hi Greg, Thanks for the resource report and the results of the AIM "What If." That's the beauty of the full blown spreadsheets.

If you really want to blow your mind, try a brokerage stock like A.G. Edwards for the same period. You may have to be a bit more generous with the starting cash reserve, however.

The longer we AIM at these big cycle stocks, the further we are ahead of Buy and Hold. Of course, every big cycle stock comes with its very own chrome plated Gut Wrench in a Custome Leather Case!!

Best regards, Tom
