Butkus - if you read my post to you it was me who mentioned time decay!!. You said that the premium on options was higher when gold is at a higher price - and my response was that the premium varies with volatility and added that you have to take into account time decay too - referred to as 'theta' Obviously if the option is going to expire soon the time premium will go down - but on top of the time premium is the premium due to volatility. E
