Granted, the small caps (as represented by RUT) seem to benefit from uncertainty; ie, during mild rallies they benefit, during mild downturns they suffer only marginally. However, I am not convinced that we are seeing market rotation consistent with past bottoms.

Maybe it's the flu medicine, but isn't current rotation occurring within indices more aggressively than usual? This suggests to me the kind of uncertainty associated with very limited cash. Visions of soccer players and paper hangers come to mind. <g>
