Hi Raven,
Hard drives don't make good backup devices and here's why.
A hard drive crash is most often catastrophic while with removable drives the data is more often stored on more than one disk ( should be, I've got at least four copies of my data ) there by lessening the impact of the loss of drive. I don't care about the drive, I care about my data.
It's my opnion that whatever device your using can fail, the
object of backing up is to secure your data and a hard drive
isn't secure enough. To further protect my data I have backups
sets in other locations.
