From www.bnamericas.com: SatMex Amplifies Services - Mexico October 28, 1998 Mexican satellite network provider SatMex has formed an alliance with sister companies Orion, Skynet, GlobalStar, and Eurostar through its partner Loral Space. The alliance is designed to reinforce the companies' operations before full competition with United States' providers begins in January 1999. "Joining operations with our sister companies permits SatMex to offer an amplified portfolio of services which gives SatMex a better position for opening its presence in the Mexican satellite market," SatMex satellite director Lauro Gonzalez said.
