I am not a banking/leasing professional but IMHO loans to small businesses are not that risky. Owners of small businesses have a reputation and their job to lose whereas big companies sometimes waste billions and nobody cares.

Net.B@nk is controlled by the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) and has always fulfilled all requirements and is very likely to continue to do so. The management has decades of experience in the banking industry. Heck, if I knew it better I would found my own Net.B@nk ;-). It's an "open field running" endeavor, and what happened in Q3 makes it difficult for any competitors to join the race, bad IPO market...
