Good morning Sonki. Well at this point I guess it does not matter what we are talking about. At least the thread has some black ink. gg. I

I don't know why everybody would want to wait for Intel 100. Intel 90 is not looking too bad at this time. It has been moving up slow but steadily.

TBR. I guess we should move some of our chatter to PM messages. Maybe after this one. I heard a little while ago that Brazil expects the IMF package to come through sometime in Nov. The stock has been up and down all morning. Last time I looked it was up over 1 point. At least the bleeding has stopped for the moment. Sure hope I am not messing this up with this post.

IBM. I had not heard about selling. But IBM is up again. Made a nice move since I have been debating since around 140. But like I said yesterday: A little bit too rich for my blood at this time.

Archie Crawford was on CNBC again with his star musings. He thinks we could retrace the gains by 50% by next Tuesday? I did not catch that part too well. Anyhow, this would be 8000. I can't quite believe that unless something big happens. But he is more optimistic again by mid November. Anyway, I think his low is for the Nov. 17th area.

Well, let's hope the market will do well today. Have a great day.

Sonny

P.S. Just checked the markets. Maybe I should post some more. The DOW has recovered nicely and TBR is at 71.

Hello Sonki. Intel is waffling around the 90 area and I see that Ann is around to see it. gg.

Embratel and WCOM/MCI. Here is a nice earnings report from WCOM. Good earnings and UUNET's internet presence helped. Double earnings growth for WCOM which does not include investment in Embratel.

Did you see the liftoff?

TBR is hanging in there. I saw Mr. Buchanan objecting to that IMF package. I am kind of with him on that. I have been saying that those countries should stick to fiscal prudence. Brazil pays 40% interest on their debt and then investors want to be bailed out. Maybe you and I should invest in Brazil and get 40% interest as long as the currency will not be devaluated. But now that I am in this stock market I am for this package. Hm. But basically it should not be done.

Sonny

When is collusion not a collusion? I guess it is in the eye of the beholder. gg. Don't you just love lawyering? I am glad that my daughter is making her Board Exam soon. gg.

Maybe my daughter could help Msft out. She wants to go into the corporate end of law. She applied there once before she went to LAW school for a good position but was told she was too young for that position. I wonder what you could do with that today. This is only hearsay and my memory is not what it used to be so I don't want to be hold to that story. gg.

Hi Sonki
Just saw on NBR that you can change your Roth back {convert} to regular IRA, then before the end of the year, you can reconvert it bact to Roth.
This works if you have lost money in your new Roth. Ie; If you put in $100.000, and it slipped to $75 000 ,you would have to pay taxes on $100.000 for this year. With conversion, you would have to pay only on $75,000.
The IRS only recognizes the last change. Quite slick if it applies. I know that you mentioned that you were considering the Roth
You might know thisalready and perhaps it doesn't apply but it is worth thinking about. At least the gov, does something for us.
Good day today. INTEL FoREVER
