pigboy - Intel reported that their ASP's have been essentially FLAT for the past five quarters.

Various analysts have estimated the ASP's to be in the $205 to $220 range.

I suspect Intel's ASP's to begin rising as of the current quarter. The Celeron is replacing the Pentium MMX stuff, 400 and 450 MHz Pentium II's remain well above the $220 ASP, Xeon technical problems are resolved and shipments are beginning to ramp, and 450 and 500 MHz Katmai chips are due out early next year.

AMD's 3DNOW will render its chips incompatible with Katmai and should pose less downward pressure on prices next year.
