<<<< I think that outsiders sense the internal hype caused by so many press releases and treat it as another "reason" to short the stock, actually using it as a negative.<<<<

Everyone is entitled to their hunches. But do you have anything to support your hypothesis?

I haven't studied this scientifically so I have nothing more to add than you do. It seems to me that when positive announcements come out the stock goes up. For a while recently that was not the case but the old pattern seems to have resumed.

Since the announcements usually are related to shipping a new product, I fail to see why anyone would see them as an indication of anything bad. It is a consistent practice so if it didn't stop the stock from moving from $3 to $30 prior to the split, I don't see it as a negative.

I also am not sure that THQI's practice in this area is any different from the PR practices of other companies in this sector. Do you see a difference?

I am well aware of how I feel when a company issues meaningless press releases so I am a bit sympathetic with your point, and THQI has on occasion issued meaningless press release including one within the last two weeks. But overall, I find their press releases timely and usually if good news, good for the share price. Certainly when the company announced the loss of the WCW franchise the stock moved down and again twice when they announced their intentions to issue more stock. So I think that the stock in general has moved in the correct direction based on the content of the news.

Is there such a thing called "Year-end covering"?

Roy, it is the first time that THQ release so many games in one month. Remember most of the game releases are to be occur in Q3 and Q4?

btw, when did you see "three" company press release in one single day?
