<< Why should falling prices of digital cameras have a
negative effect on SNDK? >>

Cause it is viewed as having fallen gross margins..... Like a commodity type product and so will the flash cards. The eroding Gross margin so far to date, is why we are not at 30 dollars per share now.

Hope that answers your question some.

Regards,
Tom

IMHO, falling digital camera prices will increase net profits for SNDK as ASP's for CF plateau and the absolute number of people being able to enter the high resolution digital camera market escalates. To be sure, SNDK's gross margins will be linearly lower in future quarters, but unit sales will increase exponentially.

The prices of digital cameras have a long way to fall, while removable flash memory cards have already declined significantly in price.
