Hopefully the prices will come down to accelerate the growth in competition with film. Also to become the standard for many other uses, eventually to replace floppies et al. Meanwhile SNDK may have to follow Moore's law and lower costs of production. SNDK has competition from alternative systems but do they have any competition for the type of card they make? In other words, if their cards become a standard, what share of the market will they command, patent or other protection etc?
