I am trying to understand what you call "smugness" and what Steven has called "pompousness" and "pretentiousness". I don't sit back and say to myself "Ooooo, that'll get her . . . or. . .I'll show him how smart I think I am . . ." or anything of the sort. I just try to flow with my ideas. We each have gifts. I own mine and am not shy nor meek about sharing them -- especially when they can be of service to others. Only in the last few years have I begun to truly "own" my power, and my ability to serve others has increased accordingly. In a spiritual sense, I believe most people's houses are on fire but they're too asleep to notice it. Sometimes I'm a loud clanging bell, but I believe lights are made to shine and bells to ring. Rick
