CraigS1,

Some nice words about the SAN/FC business from Box Hill's earnings related press release today:

''Over the long term, we believe we are exceptionally well positioned to take advantage of the growing demand for storage systems, particularly SAN systems.
We are hearing from numerous sources, including the results of surveys recently conducted by other parties, that customers are increasingly embracing Fibre
Channel and SAN solutions. We are committed to providing these solutions while maintaining our excellent reputation for providing reliable and complete SCSI
and Ultra-SCSI based systems.

If Ancor's switches can meet the price point of managed hubs, is there any reason that we'll have to wait for the normal migration to switches? It would seem like Ancor's new 8-port switch just short-circuited the typical migration path.

Warning: I double-downed yesterday at 1 3/4. Look out below.<G>

What if they are simply naked shorts, by whomever, making the wrong call ? If this is the case, wouldn't there be a squeeze of Biblical proportions on any reasonable upward movement?

Craig,

<<I'm tempted to believe the Tailwind guy. (Maybe it's my nature. <g>) If he is telling the truth, then the shorting is coming from elsewhere. The big question is WHERE? Maybe an even more important question is WHY? Frankly, I don't like it. I was pretty comfortable when we figured it was Tailwind. If it isn't them, it might be one of the other big holders.>>

Tail Wind was only 23% of the Series C offering. The rest was from the Citadel Entities. In fact, one of the funds bought 41% of the offering. The Citadel Entities are obviously a much bigger player in this game. We need more data on the conversions to date for the Series C offering.

Craig, I look at it this way: I am tougher than these people (the turn & burn boys), and by golly, I will OUTLAST them! This attitude always works at my place of employment, too. <G> wj
