FWIW..I read it was going to be $599 (no monitor.) I'm still more than a little amazed IBM has changed it's corporate mind from the "PC being Dead" to introducing an entry level unit.

Isn't there a foreign competitor that recently announced it was going to enter that arena with a unit between $399 and $499?
