--------OT-----To Sun-------

Sun, I too have "learned" the value of TA (as well as Technical Analysis...:). I just looked at VISX...don't know anything about it..didn't look at the news, fundamentals, or any indicators yet. Just looking at it though, I wouldn't touch it...gap to fill around 35...nowhere near lows (and this market seems to enjoy bringing back 52 week lows...)...hell, it tripled from march to july...and big daily swings don't seem to be nothing but a thing...

What is your upside? Downside?

However...fundamentals looking a bit better...nice rev growth and awesome potential from zero cost licensing...appears that they get a buck for every eyeball they zap...but new systems aren't being sold at an equal rate, though growth is still quite nice. Potential earnings of $3.00+ share easy...need to do a split!

So, you going to bank on TA or Fund?

OT: Fundamental Analysis and TA

Thus far, Fundamental analysis combined with TA has worked for me (at least for the relatively short time I've been trading). I've purchased CREAF ($9), STBI ($4), DIMD ($3) , and TDDDF ($2.75) ...
In all cases, the criteria was stocks trading at or below book which have just bounced off a bottom (with huge volume).

all have made me a decent return. I've also made other purchases based on TA, but not fundamentals. Those stocks haven't moved much, and cause me much more anguish...

Do you have any advice on the time to sell a trading stock? I've sold many of the above stocks far below their eventual maximums ($12.25 CREAF, $4.25 DIMD, 3.50 TDDDF (Just before the plunge this morning). How long would you hold trading stock?
