OK, to you it's a being, to me it's an essence. Must one be superior to the other? Why must we dress up the spiritual essence in anthropomorphic garb and pretend it's a being? Perhaps because it's easier that way to pretend we understand it?

Delivering a child, caring for a child, helping a friend, being helped by a friend, so many others that I cannot begin to mention them, are all intensely spiritual experiences if approached in the proper state of mind. Are they any more accessible to the deist that to the atheist? I think not. Nor do I think they are more accessible to the atheist, though I do, as I've said, think that those who adhere to organized religions have more crap to wade through before they can find the essence.
