The reports on Mitch from in the country look like disaster was mostly averted. There was a fairly significant relocation of people away from the coast and outer islands for sure. But it seems that the weather through the week has been mostly on and off rain and not so much high wind.

The Ambergris Caye site experienced no interruption since it is hosted here in the US, so it became a clearing house for info this week there. One of the reports on the site was from somewhere on the Belize River that indicated that things were not too bad as far as flooding. The only reason I would mention this is that the Lagoon Ridge Estates is not that far from the river. Since the area in the Burrel Boom is fairly low lying, flooding is a concern there, but it seems to have escaped much damage. So the good news is I believe that the Affordable Housing Group development should not have been set back by too much. But we will have to await a report from the company still to confirm that.
