OT One thing that regularly fails cars with emissions problems is a cold engine. When waiting for the car to be inspected, people sometimes turn the car off or just happened to start it up and drive it straight over. The engine does not come up to operating temp and still has foul emissions that fail it in a test. If you think this is what may have happened, next time warm the car up before test. Even a new car can fail such a test if it has not been running for a bit, particularly in colder weather such as we have here on the East Coast.

TT ---- =====> It turned out that one of my cars did not pass one of the components of the emission test and so I was busy taking care of getting that fixed DAMG ----- I fell so sorry for you and Patty ...... he has trouble finding a competent driver for his Bently to get to the inspection place and here you are with difficulty getting the "classic" to pass inspection ..... sheeeeeesssssshhhhhh When one resides in a rural portion of the Americas ..... North America, that is, as in NE Tx .......... emisssion tests mean ...... 1) do it run ? 2) do it make a lot of smoke while performing #1 ? 3) do it needs to be pushed out of the inspection pit ? 4) do the owner have the $12 to get hisself a new sticker ? the primary and most important question and the single one which is of VAST IMPORTANTE PRIMERO STATUS ...... is numero quarto (#4) .......... I mean, how hard is this to comprehende .....????? dinero makes the wheels of commerce more easy to operate ......... Nemer
