Mohan, Hi!!! Had a very pleasant surprise today at school.....sitting in the teachers cafe when this guy is ushered into our room......He is a Dell Rep in charge of the K-12 Education Business up here in New York State....well, three hours later he left my house... :o)...He'd heard of me and the thread.... couldn't pass up the opportunity to stop in and say hi....incredible stuff these guys are doing...as you are probably aware I talk of all the schools we travel to with the wrestling and how Dell is all over the place....he has some incredible ideas for future growth....one of them was his original idea of flying BOCES Superintendents down to Austin to see Metric...IMO this is a brillant idea...advertising at the highest level... everyone should be aware of what that did for us this past July.... can you imagine what it would do for the people who know very little of how Dell operates? Hey, one short story here...If you may recall I posted earlier this year of the school district that literally is surrounded by IBM buildings...across the Hudson here...well, Dell won the contract with the school district ....yes, in the actual backyard of IBM....IBM was so infuriated that they called the district and stopped the contract by underbiding Dell...thought that was the end of the story until today....It seems that IBM didn't get the computers to them in time this Fall so the school district cancelled the order at IBM....and, guess who got the call to deliver them in days?? :o) IS THERE ANY WONDER WHY WE BUY DELL???
