Morning Rudy,..Re:the revenue numbers say that the corporate world is buying integrated services in a big way from the leaders, and it is an increasingly important part of a complete enterprise story.

In the interest of clarity, can we say the Enterprise Service business consists of such tasks as IS or IT system configuration, including hardware and software, specification of standards, and solving tactical operations problems? I am asking because some still consider that service consists of mainly installation and set-up of IT hardware.

Also, the main players we talk about are as CPQ/DEC, IBM and HWP for large projects. I know one instance where MSFT has been hired to define and specify a system based on tactical operations. Have you heard of this before?

Regards,

Lee

Dog,

It is clear looking at the IBM and CPQ results that companies are paying for these services. Margins are good now.

The model is effective but it is not efficient IMO. Thus, I see this whole area of services as a potential bonanza for any company who can figure out how to be both effective and efficient and which can address the needs of all segments of the market.

Jim Kelley
