Clarence,

anyone using the removable hard drive racks w/fans ($20.+/-), docking cassettes ($12.+/-), IDE & SCSI from CyberGuys? With fans pulling in air from front, around the drives, will this help?. or maybe the drives doesn't generate too much heat, only the CPU? Guess you wouldn't need the racks for floopy, tape, cdr, etc! Maybe for the convenience. Page 33 in their catalog.

just thinking out loud, regards, /jw

Clarence, JW, Dirk,

Good links, thanks! I've got the powersupply torn apart and am 4 screws from flipping - which is what I thought I wanted to do ... until I read Dirk's thermodynamics stuff. Now I'm confused again!?

Paul

P.S. Cyberguys catalog on its way. That Drive bay temp sensor/alarm/monitor looks like a good way to test out some of the divergent cooling theories.
