Skeets: We all know that the Joe Battapaglia's of this world appear on cnbs and cnn etc. to tout the services of their firms, but more particularly to tout the stocks they are already long. Has there been a debate here about the degree of the same on si? This stock, that stock is a triple turd or a pos, or a screaming buy, or bk is a myth etc. What percent of all this organized chaotic energy expenditure is just an internet based touting forum? To what effect? Surely people follow MB and some really well respected people here. But the average poster... Are people just ventilating and exchanging views and learning from others. Or is the world watching and people actually making money by persuading others to follow? Wow, what a dumb, open ended question! ;-)
