I just called a coin store where I purchased pre-1964 U.S. silver coins for 3.65 times face value a couple of months ago, and was told they're getting 4.5 now, due to demand.

Spot silver is only slightly above where it was on my last purchase, so I was shocked.

Pretty big coin operation, in a large metropolitan area.

May be a one time situation, but I thought it was interesting.

Playing with historical cycles.....

Hi Ray!

Allow me to do some wild speculation....

"Millionaire-making rally within three years"

1998 + 3yrs = 2001 (target year for completion of big move?)

Lowest closing year prior to big 1979/80 move: $1.394 in 1971
Years from low to 1980: 9 years (years required for BIG MOVE)

Lowest close in present cycle: $3.71 in 1992
Big year target: 1992 + 9years = 2001?????

Does the above speculation bear any relation to the apparent target of 2001? Or is there some other basis?

TIA for indulging me......

Have a nice day,

THC
