Yes, and Iridium being brought into the public view through media coverage and advertising. I've had several people in the last few weeks alone ask me about Iridium and Teledesic (especially), and G* (once). In some cases, they weren't sure how to pronounce the names correctly. But sat's were being brought to their awareness in a broad variety of ways; even the Year 2000 talk about potential sat failures.
