Yes, but it isn't THAT cold. Even Ottawa gets down to -32 deg C. I think Iridium and other handsets are okay in the -45 deg C area. Anyway, after turning them on, they'll warm up. -34 deg C turns waxy diesel solid. Ottawa's where I learned about that one cold morning - Dibblee Construction phoned me complaining that their bulldozers wouldn't go.

Hey Northforce, just how cold can it be before your handsets go wonky?

***OT*** Incidentally, Dave Barry, in today's local paper, wrote that Canada should be invaded by the USA because they are selling toilets with large flush volumes to Americans who are legally only allowed 1.6 gallons or something. I thought his article was a riot. Anyone who reads syndicated columnist Dave Barry will know what I'm talking about. He lives in Florida apparently. Don't have a url sorry.

He also thought it would be good to invade because many Americans, even the CIA, know where it is and professional ice hockey would be cancelled.

RE: Operating temperature

Keep it in your fur-lined jock. There'll be plenty of room.
