Vince Gallant: Premier Brian Tobin says there are no immediate plans for more talks with Inco on Voisey's Bay. Tobin says the province's position has not changed. Tobin refuted oppositon claims of a double standard in dealing with IOC and Inco. Tobin says an independent analysis supports IOC's plans for Labrador City and Quebec.

Premier Tobin: You look at the Voisey's Bay development, long term, at the long term nickel prices there is no reason in the world why Inco should not be putting production facilities in this province, as is the case today, for example, in Labrador West. There are production facilities there. What Inco is proposing is to high-grade the mine, take the ore in raw form, ship it out of the province, period. That is not acceptable to us, and that is not going to occur. We have applied the same fundamental test of efficiency.

Don't cry for Robertson Stephens!! They bought DFR at $8.00 back in November of 1994. I once emailed to them to dump N.V when it was trading in the $30.00 range. I never got a reply. I wonder why?
