I'd say that you are a born stock-picker based on that performance --- and if memory serves me right you did fairly well in a similar competition a little while ago.

As a far as today's gap open, I am tempted to short it for a scalp -- I'd like to wait until closer the open to see how much higher it runs up. But as long as it can stay below the 1014 level or thereabouts in globex trading, I'd say that the odds are good that a short may be a decent idea. Will post if I decide to do so.

I'd say short the gap and then reverse to the long side at the point when one covers the short for a day trade on the long side -- does not change the position trade which remains long and will continue that way until I get a signal to the contrary.
