I think a buyout is likely to come about after CIENA announces new
big contracts, the cancellation of contracts is the reason that the
deal with Tellabs fell apart, and it is the precise reason that
Ciena can bring the Tellabs people back to the merger, I think
Tellabs will offer .6 shares which is about 33 bucks a share ...

If Tellabs CEO thought that Ciena people think they are worth 30-40
a share, 33 will be a fair price to pay ... and he can justify that
price if Ciena has new contracts ... this will clear up by the end
of next week ... if Ciena does announce new contracts on the Soundview
Conference, expect merger news by the following Monday ...

all will be known in about 10 days ...
