Hi, Bob! Long time no hear from (don't never use a preposition to end a sentence with) ..

Good post. You brought up some of the historical (and, in some cases, hysterical) comments that were made by ALYD management over the past couple of years. Comments that made it sound too good to be true. And, it was.

I suspected it was too good to be true, but got carried away with the Y2K frenzy just as much as the rest of the believers here on this board. I'm still holding. I can't figure out why. Just because, I guess. I'm positive the Y2K frenzy will hit again ... or maybe more appropriately stated ... will hit harder than the first fizzled attempt. Will that positively affect ALYD's bottom line? I sure hope so.

As for now, I'm losing the bet. Bummer.

** Off topic ** My TAVA investment is finally in the black!

Hope all is well down there in Phoenix-land.

The biggest problem with the year 2k problem is getting customers to get you what you need on a timely basis. My partner and I write accounting systems for medium size companies ($100M to $400M) and all of them will keep reminding us about a drop deadline for them; they will then leave you idle for two to three weeks while they evaluate something that should only take 2 or 3 hours.

While the problem is big, I don't think it is as life stopping as many want to believe it is (I base this on my above statement).

Dear Bob O: I could live with you estimates IF ALYD could convince me they have a life after 2,000 which will be profitable and growing. That is what I am waiting to see. JDN
