I have decided not to give you a break, Brian. Sorry. Your own post illustrated that over 50% of the world's CDMA market is in Korea. This is a definition of a niche standard: it's the opposite of a global standard in which two dozen countries on all continents have multi-million unit markets for a standard. Besides, Finland's cellular penetration is just 51% at the moment.

And actually, Koreans *have* tried to succeed in GSM market. They couldn't hack it, so their governemnt banned GSM and mandated another standard where the quality of competition is not as high. I'm sure you know this story... it's a sad parable of protectionism.

How about this comparison: there are more GSM phones in South Africa than there are CDMA phones in all the world's countries outside USA and Korea. I think this speaks volumes.
