you're right on duffield, but i don't even know what's next after client server, but i suspect it has much more to do with remote and distributed computing for applications that touch the customer. seems to me balancing the need for functional clients with the need for massively distributed systems in front office is a major set of challenges. I think melissa that a sound argument could be made that the front office market is larger than the back office market and that there is far more complexity and domain expertise in the systems that vantive, sebl and clarify provide than the back office guys realize. I would be stunned to see psft's LICENSE growth accelerate any time soon. Therefore i think you're better off in sebl than trying to pick up the pieces of a fallen angel. td
