I'm going spin dizzy and shall call it a night in a second.

I moved the Reuters software over to a computer that is to handle all the stuff. Trying to enter SPc1 et cetera for the Continuous contract the software while running on the new machine won't take small letters.

So, I decided to go to the original file and just change the parameters to gather data back to 1986 rather than '88 as it is now. It has not the ability to change this. I tried writing SPc1 on MS Word and copying it to the software so I would get the small "c". Won't work.

Working on the physical system may be the easiest thing in the world. Getting to the point where I'm working on it and not just trying to set it up is a freakin' nightmare.

I learned how to program computers when we still used punch cards. I think I know how to copy and paste. Using this stuff is for the boids. It's no wonder most people view them as unlearnable, I can't even get the damn data.

What's with Carl, anyway? Doesn't he understand that people who trade for a living get real time quotes? Why won't he write a patch to take the data from the live feeds?

Ahh, what's the sense of mentioning that again; this is an old story. When I was an engineer I would ask the programmers for one thing and get something else. I had to learn a programming language so I could program my own reports. 15 years later I'm still in the same boat.
