Does anyone know if ASND does any business in India, potentially huge market. Looks like they ASND intends to do some --- ascend.com MM

Bindusagar, regarding India Ascend is opening/has opened a development site and also manufacturing. In india VSNL is the only one currently providing IP services. It is my understanding that VSNL is going to come under pressure for deregulation. However, ASCEND equipment is being used at least partially at VSNL. Note: The founder of Cascade (who was an Indian) pushed for expansion in Asia namely India. International players like BT,etc are gearing up to provide ISP support, but mom & pop ISP's are NOT in the picture at all (like U.S.A) since liquidity has dried up there. Venture capital is not available easily, and the equipment cost millions which no ordinary person can afford. hope this helps in some way. Regards, Immi
