I didnt mean that as an insult although I admit it came off that way. But anybody, PhD or no that gives up everything to stay at home with the kids is sending a message arent they? That NOTHING matters but that? How many great people throughout history thought that way. Ill bet none. If your wife was doing medical research and was on the verge of finding a cure for cancer, would she just chuck it in favor of staying home with the kids because being a mom is the most important job in the world? (and if she did that, what do you think the chances are that her female kids would become great in any way)
