Good work zookeeper, but I think it would be more fair to compare the movies that Van Sant and Speilberg have produced, co-produced, or executive produced. After all, that is the roll that Van Sant is playing -- Producer not director.

In answer to my own previously asked question: The producers of the 10 A-list films other than MVEE include Paramount, Trimark, Polygram, Blue Rider, and Nu Image. Some pretty darn good company. Notably missing from the A-list were Miramax and October Films, who apparently didn't have anything good enough to make the list. Also, Nu Image has Lima for sale, although it seems to not be one of their major offerings.
