Hey zax, any idea who paid for that motley fool flier to be inserted into all those brokerage statements? That easily would cost hundreds of thousands, depending on how flashy it was..

I agree with you, TMF has no shame when hyping. Next I suspect they will invent a whole new mathematical system in which negative numbers are positive and positive are positive too.

BTW- syquest filed for chapter 11 today. If I recall correctly, there were still quite a few "buy" recommendations on it.

Interesting fact on CNBC today- of all the stocks covered by "analysts", 98% are either "strong buy or buy".

Only two percent rated "hold" or "sell".

That ratio has been the same for years, apparently.

What a scam.

>> craig,were you not long a while ago?? <<

Long what, how long ago?

>> im suprised you missed amzn's relative streghth signal vs the dow during the correction <<

Let's see...AMZN dropped from 137 to 65 in something like 6 trading days, then revisited 80 after a trip to 120. Doesn't sound like relative strength to me. Of course AMZN has recently outperformed the Dow on the upside as well, so I guess you could refer to AMZN as high beta. It corrected more than the major averages, and now is rallying more than the major averages.

>> im afraid thats going to cost you a bit more before we back and fill. <<

Such is life. I have lost the latest battle...but not the war.
