I don't think this is the kind of action that is prompted by or would even prompt short covering. This is simple move based on the fundamentals and change in investor attitudes. When the short covering begins, you feel it full blast. On another note, I read a lot of posts about how 3Dfx will announce the next greatest graphics chip the world has ever seen in Comdex. Not only these people are setting themself up for a disappointment and are not taking the time to consider the design and developments required to bring such a product to market, they are not even thinking how bad longer term it really would be to announce such a product even if 3Dfx could produce it in such a short time. In fact such a move would be so bad, that after riding the sock up for all it had, I would sell all my shares and go short. I leave it up to the reader to figure out the why :) Sun Tzu
