gc, I think that what's been holding the stock down is that it wasn't clear where PSFT was headed. Granted, this won't impact earnings next quarter but then again, stocks are often valued on future earnings potential.

I think that this stock was already priced by the market with the expectation that growth would decline and there was no announced strategy going forward.

Short if you like but I would think you're only shorting on a trading range to pick up a few points here and there vs.company fundamentals or future.

gc, I fear that I have to agree with you. The strategy looks truly visionary for the long term, but the next 6-to-12 months' outlook is murky and suggests a lot of volatility. O.K. for trading purposes but rough on investors. I'd rather be out of the whole group of ERP companies while the dust settles (albeit looking for entry points for a long-term investment).
