I'll take a stab at why print and radio advertising has stopped.

I'll simply reiterate some of what I've heard and read. However please recognize that all of what I'm posting here has its basis firmly planted in rumor, so take this for what limited worth it may have - if any.

GMGC stopped purchasing any additional radio and print ads because one or more major carriers have agreed to resell Portico and will be carrying the weight of the advertising from here, and Magic will be coordinating its advertising, hereafter, with the telecos. Is this really true or the correct explanation? I haven't a clue. I do, however, find it a bit puzzling that the Magic has made clear that Atlanta, Georgia is one of its target markets and yet it has only one reseller with one storefront location in the entire state, while California and Illinois have 60 and 40 reseller locations, respectively. One explanation is that BellSouth may have committed already and Magic agreed not to intrude into the Georgia market in anticipation of BellSouth's beginning its efforts. All this is mere speculation that I'm sure you've all heard this before. We'll all know some additional information, I'm sure, soon enough.
