DougHboy, The Volpe Brown analyst may or may not be short; I don't know. The bottom line is that it is dangerous to buy stocks based on takeover speculation. How many takeovers actually come true compared to how many are rumored? Not all that many I wouldn't guess. From a chart perspective, if CIEN closes below 18 3/4, I think it has additional downside risk to 15 or 16. That's my honest appraisal of the chart and I'd give it to you whether I was long, short, or out. Dan
