I've got some more questions related to trading listed stocks for Steve or anyone who cares to share their thoughts:

In "Electronic Daytrader" the authors place a lot of emphasis on the specialist opening the stock at a price where he/she can make money from the open. If a stock opens with a quote of 30 x 30 1/4, what significance would you place on where the opening print is in relation to the quote? In other words, would your expectations for price movement be different if the print was at 30 1/16 vs. 30 3/16? Or at 30 or 30 1/4? Or would the size on the bid and offer be more important? Or do you think the specialist doesn't really try to influence movement?

Thanks for your ideas,
Grn
