Tench,

Remember that AMD went from 15 to 45 in anticipation of the K6 before dropping back down into the teens. That means that AMD went up 150% in six months, then lost 66% after that. I guess with your logic, this translates into a net gain of 84%! (150% - 66% = 84%)

So if you bought and sold AMD at the right times, you could have made a lot of money!
