Density of water is 1000kg per cubic meter=1 ton per cubic meter. Take a specific gravity of Rock as R. Do the calculation:

Mass of ore body in Tons = L*B*T*R*1 Ton where:

L= length of ore body
B= breadth of ore body
T= thickness of ore body.
R= SG of rock

Also, when doing the gold estimate, note that:

1 ounce = 28.35 grams

Therefore, 0.1Ounces = 2.835 grams (the approximate average grade per ton)
