Just out of curiosity; what would stop a wealthy Texas republican from sending a couple of thousand young people to a conference or condensed course at UCLA? Could they get campus ID's. What would stop them from voting. It would be cheaper for the host that running a campaign to sway that number of votes.

I'm not proposing it. Obviously it would be fraud. Just curious.

Hey Michelle,

Before I buy a stock, I check out all the legitimate competition, so I have indeed followed the PSFT thread. The problem is you have to take most of the messages on all of the boards with a total grain of salt, since most people are just talking their positions. Another thing, never measure the quality of a stock by the number of messages posted to a thread. CSCO usually isn't particularly active, nor is LU, I own both of those too and usually you don't see a lot of posting until earnings or some major news release, I'm sure you realize that any day of the week when you check the hot subjects list, it's usually topped by stocks that are getting hammered, like PSFT. I've actually used it as a contrarian indicator of sorts. Wanna compare SAP returns now? Did you ever cover your short? bp
