Thanks, Kendall, for your feedback. I am actively searching for an alternative to my $20/trade broker, but am concerned with retaining the excellent customer service and instantaneous posting of activities that I currently enjoy. Would you please expand on some of your comments?

(3) Their system quickly posts executions so as to allow you to keep up during the day.

Can you see your trading actions immediately after execution so that you know what money/margin Brown says you have?

(1) Service is not a strong suit. Quick and clean is the way it feels. Those that want more conversation or research or similar things will not find it here. If you want Level 2 you will need to look elsewhere.

(4) When you have a problem with any trade, they are very responsive and fair.


I don't need hand holding and I do my own research, but when I call for customer service (not brokerage -- I prefer to use the web) on any question about the firm or my account, I expect excellent service. If I get any backtalk, I'm not going to respond well. Was your comment restricted to getting a trade done or was it indicative of brusque customer service?

Once again, thanks for taking the time to detail your Brown experience. Customer feedback is better than all the advertising money can buy.
