Just checked again with my broker. They require 20% cash deposit with a minimum $ 2,000/contract for strike price above $ 50 . I have a substantial number of puts but the majority will expire in 2 weeks (sigh).

I agree with you that selling puts in stock like Dell is a profitable business since the stock keeps rising and we practically are getting the premium when the option expire worthless. I have profited from this venture, and there is no question that you are the champion in this arena.

Before a person jumps in to selling puts, I feel there are several considerations that must be to be taken into account. This is especially important since Nov expiration is around the corner and one can feel that there is easy money to be made.

If you like, I can provide you a quantitative analysis why this selling put might not always be suitable.
